Mirella Ruozzi

Atelierista

From 1975 to 2016 Mirella Ruozzi was Atelierista with the Preschools and Infant-toddler Centres  – Istituzione of the Municipality of Reggio Emilia.

For Reggio Children Ruozzi collaborates on realising exhibitions, ateliers, publishing projects, and professional development courses, through participating in seminars and workshops in Italy and overseas.

She completed her Art School Diploma course, specialising in ceramics, at the Gaetano Chierici Art School in Reggio Emilia in 1972, and the professional exam to qualify as a teacher of Arts Education in middle schools in 1973.

In 1975 she became the Atelierista of the Ada Gobetti municipal Infant-toddler Centre, and in 1992 of the Ernesto Balducci municipal Preschool.

Since 1980 Ruozzi has collaborated with Reggio Emilia municipal Infant-toddler centres Genoeffa Cervi, Peter Pan, Luigi Bellelli, Gianni Rodari, and Pablo Picasso.

In 2001 she began curating projects on research, professional development, and deeper investigation, at the Gianni Rodari Theatre Workshop – Preschools and Infant-toddler Centres - Istituzione of the Municipality of Reggio Emilia.

From 2012 to 2016 she worked as Atelierista Educator for the Preschools and Infant-toddler Centres – Istituzione of the Municipality of Reggio Emilia.

She has collaborated on, and curated, several educational and professional learning projects for the Istituzione.
